Shipment Status Codes

All of the Carriyo status codes are listed below along with their description.

Status Code Description Pre or Post Shipping
draft The shipment has been created as a draft. It is not confirmed and it will not be communicated by CARRIYO to the selected carrier. Pre Shipping
pending The shipment has been confirmed by the merchant and is pending the acceptance from the carrier along with the tracking number. Pre Shipping
booked The shipment has been successfully accepted by the carrier and a tracking number (a.k.a AWB number) is generated. Pre Shipping
error There has been an error in communicating the shipment request to the carrier. This shipment requires troubleshooting and may require manual editing of address details before reattempt. Pre Shipping
ready-to_ship Certain carriers require a confirmation that a shipment is now ready for pick-up. In such cases this status will be used to inform the carrier. Pre Shipping
failed_collection_attempt The carrier failed to collect the shipment from the pickup address. More applicable for reverse shipments. Pre Shipping
cancelled_by_carrier The carrier cancelled the shipment on their side after accepting the shipment due to any reason, such as capacity or coverage. Pre Shipping
cancelled The shipment has been manually cancelled by a user in CARRIYO. This is a final status. Pre Shipping
shipped The shipment has been shipped by the retailer and is now with the carrier. Post Shipping
in_transit The shipment has been collected and processed by the carrier and is now being transported to the destination. Post Shipping
out_for_delivery In some cases, the carrier will move the shipment to this status when the shipment is on its last mile of delivery and on the way to the customer. Post Shipping
awaiting_customer_collection For shipments that are to be collected by the customer at collection points, this status indicates it is ready for collection. Only applicable to collection shipments. Post Shipping
delivered This is the final status for shipments that have been successfully delivered to the final recipient. Post Shipping
suspended The carrier has suspended the delivery of the shipment for some unexpected reason. It can be an invalid address, or customs clearance issues or any similar circumstances. Post Shipping
delayed The carrier is experiencing a delay in the delivery of the shipment for some operational reason. Post Shipping
missing The carrier has lost or misplaced the shipment.
failed_delivery_attempt The carrier has failed to deliver the shipment. The delivery might still be reattempted depending on carrier policies. Post Shipping
ready_for_return The carrier has failed to deliver the shipment and exausted re-attempts. The shipment is now being processed to return to the origin. Post Shipping
return_in_transit The carrier has failed to deliver the shipment and exausted re-attempts. The shipment is now being on its way to be returned to the origin. Post Shipping
returned The shipment has been successfully returned to the origin. This is a final status. Post Shipping
delivery_confirmed (optional final state) This is the final status for shipments that have been delivered to the destination by the carrier and confirmed by the recipient. Post Shipping
return_confirmed (optional final state) This is the final status for shipments that have been returned to the origin by the carrier and confirmed by the receiving entity. Post Shipping
